Best One arrives in good heart and the handicapper has sensibly decided not to overly burden him following a five-furlong Kempton victory, but he's better off over that trip and is opposed here with MUSHY PEAS. David Evans' horse ran well when helping set a strong tempo at Kempton and deserves extra credit for his effort, one sufficiently impressive to suggest this small rise in the weights can be overcome with Martin Lane in the plate. Suhayl Star is a horse to watch this winter as he's become well-treated and loves it here while Richard Hughes has claims of adding to his tally aboard Durgan, who should improve for stepping up in trip. Hatman Jack wears a tongue-tie and is 7lbs below a win here last autumn and therefore hard to rule out in a race that isn't easy to predict.
