In depth

Verdict

USAIN BOAT (NAP) has already shown he's more than ready for a sixth furlong when beating a useful field at Newmarket on his second start and is taken to maximise his experience and follow-up in what looks arguably a more straightforward assignment. Admittedly race conditions mean he has to concede plenty of weight to all rivals but he looked a useful juvenile at Newmarket and is hard to oppose. Red Island ran an excellent fourth that day on debut, three lengths behind the selection, and should get closer with that experience behind him and now 7lb better off. The newcomers are of interest with Izvestia making most appeal on paper but the market should prove the best guide to the chances of the three debutants.
