Fast And Hot was a decisive 5l scorer from Harlequin Striker last month but isn't guaranteed to confirm the form. There's a massive turnaround in the weights in favour of the runner-up and conditions are very different as that Salisbury affair was run on heavy ground - the precise opposite of forecast conditions here. However, we'll take both on with STORMINGIN, who was taken out of a race at Brighton on Tuesday evening but will hopefully turn up here. He's delivered a sequence of excellent efforts in similar handicaps this year on a variety of ground and looks on an attractive mark, especially with Jason Watson's claim factored in. Colonel Frank is interesting but has yet to tackle a trip beyond a mile. Rake's Progress and Man Of Harlech cannot be discounted either in a competitive heat.
Colonel Frank 5-1 (8-13) Soon led, ridden and headed over 2f out, rallied to have every chance over 1f out, kept on to go 2nd inside final furlong, 2nd of 8, 1 3/4l behind Mountain Rescue (9-7) at Newmarket 7f hcp (3) gf in May.
Fast And Hot (IRE) 6-1 (9-6) Raced wide tracked leaders, went 2nd over 6f out, ridden 2f out, led and hung right approaching final furlong, ran on, finished far side, won at Salisbury 1m 2f hcp (5) hvy in Apr beating Harlequin Striker (9-6) by 5l, 7 ran.
Man Of Harlech 5-1 (9-7) Tracked leader until 6f out, driven 2f out, kept on under pressure inside final furlong, 3rd of 8, 1l behind Chance To Dream (9-3) at Windsor 1m 2f hcp (4) gd in Apr.
