The best race on the card where there are a few with claims and the short list comprises Evident Pride, Lochiel, John Terry and WINE 'N DINE and we will side with the latter. Gary Moore does well here and his runners are in fine form, as exemplified by the selection, who has won his last two starts to climb to a mark of 86. He drops back in trip to 1m 4f here after having won over two miles last time and the manner of both those wins suggests that there is more improvement in him despite the narrow winning margins, so we will take him to complete the hat-trick. Evident Pride was also a last-time scorer, winning over course and distance and going up 4lbs as a result. Unlike the selection he is fully exposed and might just struggle to follow up from his new mark. John Terry won over course and distance from a 1lb higher mark this time last year and retains enough ability to suggest that he can have a say, while Lochiel has conditions and trip to suit and is a rare Lingfield raider for Alan Swinbank. He is upped 3lbs for going close at Wolverhampton last time and remains competitive. Robby Bobby struggled from a lower mark last time but may be capable of better over this longer trip, though we are happy to side with Wine 'N Dine.
