DOUBTFUL SOUND can confirm form with Little Edward here given that he is just 1lb worse off for beating that opponent by a couple of lengths over 6f here last time, while Ebraam and Matsunosuke are respected. The Reg Hollinshead-trained nomination is a hugely consistent performer for his octogenarian handler, having won four of his last eight starts and being placed on a couple of other occasions. He proved he handles this circuit last time and the drop back to the minimum should not inconvenience him, and he can continue his rich vein of form. Little Edward is almost a stone better off with Matsunosuke on their running at Great Leighs last month and should comfortably reverse those placings on that basis, while Ebraam has plenty to find with the selection from last time they met and in any case is not easy to win with. Swiss Franc would make them all go if at his best, but the drop back to the minimum trip is not certain to suit and Doubtful Sound is taken to score.
