This looks to be a good opportunity for Champuloc to get off the mark, with Augustine a potentially interesting challenger and not muich else to enthuse about. The selection is rated well in front of these officially and found his feet when runner-up at Wolverhampton last time out. He remains over the same trip here and if he handles the surface after an abortive attempt on his penultimate start then he must have every chance of breaking his duck. Augustine has not been seen since finishing five lengths adrift of Old Deutoronomy at Newmarket in May 2003. If he is fully over his problems then that sort of effort would see him go close, but we are better to watch him this time unless the market speaks strongly in his favour. Nothing else makes appeal in a poor maiden and Champuloc can take advantage
