Flaming Eyes can follow up her recent victrory at the expense of Private Benjamin, Taminoula and Montecristo. Walter Swinburn's superbly bred filly made her first British run a winning one when landing a Wolverhampton maiden last time. There should be plenty of improvement forthcoming and she looks the one to be on. If any of these deserve another victory it is Private Benjamin, who has put in three excellent efforts here over the last two months. He hasn't been given much respite by the handicapper but should certainly be vying for some place money. Montecristo put in a game effort when fourth behind Dovedon Hero recently over course and distance and a reapeat of that effort could be good enough to get him into the frame. Amanda Perrett runs Taminoula who wasn't beaten far behind Border Edge last time and this this daughter of Tagoula looks best of the remainder. So a very tough contest to call, but Flaming Eyes holds strong claims and just gets the verdict.
