Some familiar faces here including Lygeton Lad and Moayed, both should be in the firing line, but this may rest between Eccentric and Chateau Nicol, with the last named given the vote. A similar race to this here on the 18th of December could be the key to trhis event Chateau Nicol finished a close second to Desert Lord, with Buyonthered, Moayed and Goodenough Mover all behind. That was over the six furlong trip, and the selection is a better horse over this distance and should reverse the running with that winner. Moayed didn't get into the action on that occasion and is better judged on his course and distance second to Jack Sullivan. Meanwhile Lygeton Lad bounced back to his best with a victory over Tahirah over the mile trip here last time and should go close despite top-weight. A bigger threat though may come from Eccentric who belied odds of 20/1 when winning a competitive handicap here last time. Steeley Dan appears held on recent efforts but could go close if returning to his best, however Chateau Nicol is firing on all cylinders at the moment and can land this valuable prize.
