Alpes Maritimes has the highest rating of those to have earned one here and Geoff Wragg's gelding has to be respected but the son of Danehill Dancer remains a maiden following 12 starts and he may be booked for place at best yet again so preference is for He's My Best who gets the vote ahead of Cinnamon Hill. The last mentioned has run creditably in both starts so far, latterly when finding just Axiom too good in a Leicester maiden and she has to be respected. John Gosden's Labor Day has not progressed as much as may have been anticipated, while stable companion Mini Mosa has largely disappointed so far. It will be interesting to see how the market shapes for Luca Cumani's newcomer Swop who would not need to be anything out of the ordinary but a safer bet looks to be He's My Best. Jeremy Noseda's colt has shown ability over six furlongs but should improve for being stepped up to seven for the first time today and he looks the one to beat.
