Verdict

SAGUNT is the suggestion ahead of Colonel Sherman and Rahy's Crown amongst others. Sean Curran's charge gained a deserved success following a couple of solid performances with a three quarters of a length defeat of Rahy's Crown here last time. He idled in front and had slipped to a decent mark so there's a chance that he can confirm the form at the revised weights. Rahy's Crown has a clear chance on that showing and he, too, is well handicapped on his old form and they appeal as the two likeliest winners of this contest. There are one or two others of interest as one would expect and Colonel Sherman is amongst them. He is paying his first visit to the track but posted a career best at Kempton on just his fifth career start last time and may be able to build on that performance here. We'll play it safe though and side with the proven claims of Sagunt.
