There are plenty of solid factors in giving Roman Quintet another chance and this consistent gelding is selected in preference to Legal Set, who goes well here, and Nearly A Fool, who is a previous course and distance winner that has fair claims at the weights. Jazzy Millennium is another that has held his form well and comes into the race with a fair record at the track. A seventh furlong has been a problem for him on occasions in the past though and others make more appeal on these terms. Legal Set has two ways of running and it will be interesting to see which tactics are employed this afternoon. A wide draw does suggest that he may have to settle for a tracking role today and it will be no surprise to see him arriving late on the scene. However, Roman Quintet also likes to burst through on the back of a strong pace and, as he is the more reliable performer, he gets the preferential treatment here.
