HAIL PROMENADER is selected here in preference to Mackten, Dancourt, Royal Executioner and Spring Adventure. Barry Hills has been hitting the woodwork a fair bit lately with his horses and he will hope for a small change in luck with Hail Promenader. Fairly well-held when unfancied at 20/1 on his reappearance at Windsor, better is expected from the Acclamation colt this afternoon on this easy track. If he fails to get the trip then there are many alternatives, with Spring Adventure, a recent course and distance winner likely to be high on any shortlist. Woolston Ferry is a course winner but he is not a proven winner over this trip, as opposed to the consistent Royal Executioner and Dalradion. Lastroarofdtiger is rated better than his recent handicap debut at Newcastle, although he now has a bit to prove, whilst Mackten may have got in lightly off 76 on this handicap debut. Dancourt, back from 194 days off the track should run well despite a wide draw, however in a complicated three-year-old handicap it is Hail Promenader who we will side with.
