In the second division of the maiden, Astronomic View gets the call, with his biggest dangers suggested as Down The Brick and Tension Point. Astronomic View showed plenty of promise when third at this track on his debut and, with the extra furlong looking likely to suit, should run a good race today. Distant Sunset will need to step up on his Windsor debut, but that is possible, while Down The Brick's Warwick third last time entitles him to plenty of respect. Fares ran green on his debut here and should improve, while Kid Mambo cost a pretty penny and is bred for this surface. Although fairly cheaply acquired, Palmiro attracts interest on breeding. Tension Point holds claims based on his debut promise, and he was overfaced last time at Royal Ascot, while Valiance gets a big shout on breeding, but not draw, and Wilmington is a potential improver from his debut. Finally, Kerswell needs to find improvement and, in a tricky event, we return to the selection, which is Astronomic View.
