A large field goes to post for this maiden but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Archerfield, Air of Supremacy, and Baker Of Oz and the confident vote goes to Archerfield. The three-year-old has been second on his last two runs and a reproduction of his latest second behind Athboy would make him hard to beat. Air Of Supremacy rates the main danger he finished in mid-division in a similar race behind Sofistication on his debut, but this well bred sort is sure to have learnt from the experience and it would be no surprise if he were to go close. Baker Of Oz would have a chance on his best form but he disappointed when last seen on the AW at Wolverhampton and it will be interesting to see if he handles this surface any better. Of the remainder Mambina is from a top yard and has shown a modicum of ability to date so she to has place claims but for the winner we return to Archerfield.
