Verdict
Sir Thomas Gresham defends an unbeaten record on his first run on the all-weather but both wins on Turf have come on soft going. Firmament has become very frustrating while stablemate Salateen won’t be helped by a penalty. Tropics reserves his best for Chelmsford and has failed to beat home a rival in his last two starts but Ghazawaat can only improve for her first run for the Gosden yard at Wolverhampton with cheekpieces fitted. BREATHLESS TIMES has improved markedly for a wind operation and followed up a win at Chelmsford with a close third behind two in-form rivals in a conditions race at Kempton. He can get back on track here with Great Prospector making his Polytrack debut.
