      Verdict

      ESPOIR DE LOIRE found only Full Bore too good over track and trip on his hurdling debut earlier in the month. The latter is rated 126, which reads well in this context and Ben Pauling’s charge gets the nod to open his account. Larkbarrow Lad looks next best on last month’s fourth in a bumper at Southwell and though Monkey Puzzle finished runner-up over timber back in 2016, he hasn’t raced since pulled-up at Ludlow last year. Enrichissant showed no progress at Chepstow last time and the remaining pair are even harder to recommend.
