Trevelyn's Corn was so impressive when landing a point-to-point at Borris House in December that he went for an astonishing £400,000 at the sales a few days later. The form has so far failed to work out but Paul Nicholls' new recruit is obviously of interest. Doux Pretender, a winning bumper in France, has been gradually improving over timber though he had little to beat at Towcester. Dual bumper winner STONEY MOUNTAIN made a sparkling hurdles debut over 2m4f at Aintree, just getting the better of Aye Aye Charlie, who has won subsequently. Henry Daley's charge gets the vote here though the former Irish-trained Hilary John looks a nice staying prospect for Warren Greatrex. Senior Citizen had his path to victory cleared at Chepstow when two main rivals departed and has much more to do.
