Richard Hannon has a strong hand with the returning Hefner entitled to go close on last year's turf form and Benbecula having claims on his recent second over 1m4f at this track. John Gosden won this last year and also has a couple of runners with Arctic Galaxy making his debut and William Buick taking over the reins on DARK STRANGER. The latter never figured on his debut over a mile in soft ground at Nottingham in November but the extra distance will suit and he gets the nod. Haymarket is another with claims stepping up in distance and he's preferred to the more exposed Devote Myself, who keeps finding at least one too good.
