BINNION BAY shades it for our choice here from Jessica Wigmo and Inka Dancer in this lowly opener, division one of the 7 furlong handicap. The John Bridger-trained gelding came from off the pace to win at Kempton last time out, and usually has his best form early in the year. He's one of a trio of course and distance winners in the field, albeit his success here was two years ago. Inconsistency sees him racing at this level, but he has won off a much higher mark. Jessica Wigmo has the most to carry, along with Fun In The Sun and first time blinkered Melt. It's nearly a year since she won over this trip; last time out she tried a mile but was out of the frame under a penalty after previously winning over six furlongs. Inka Dancer has paid his way over the years, but not won for 18 months. This sort of contest won't take much winning, but we prefer the claims of Binnion Bay.
