PEGASUS AGAIN should be able to confirm form with Den's Gift and land this competitive handicap; Red Somerset can win the battle for third. Joe Fanning's mount seems to have got in lightly up just 3lbs for winning last time when Den's Gift was second. That effort backed up a solid second to course specialist Mr Willis and advertised the fact that a mile at Lingfield is just the ticket for this gelding. Den's Gift has a 2lb pull in the weights for a length defeat which brings the pair close together, but he has to bounce back from a below-par effort since and looks opposable on the back of it. Red Somerset got back on the winning trail when taking a claimer on Boxing Day but showed he remains competitive in handicaps since with victory last time. On past form a rise up to 83 might not halt more success and George Baker rides this track as well as any, so he's another with solid claims. Trafalgar Square ran well to take second here last time but this is a better race and he's up a pound, whilst Gallantry was well behind our pick when last they met and will do well to reverse form even on these better terms. Thunderball should be more at home returning to this course and distance but has work to do off his new mark and Vhujon is a doubtful stayer, so we'll return to the solid credentials of Pegasus Again who gets our vote.
