Lingfield Bound and Sunley Spinalonga were both placed over course and distance earlier this month but our preference is for Mark Johnston's PENTOMINIUM. He's had a rest from racing since his debut five months ago at Newcastle when he came third in a maiden which has thrown up three subsequent winners. He's the yard's only runner here today, and their horses often need a run to get fully tuned up. Sunley Spinalonga, the only runner to have an official mark, was narrowly ahead of Lingfield Bound when they met here ten days ago; the difference in weights remains the same, and it could be a toss of a coin as to which has the more improvement to come. The latter was due to run in a similar event here yesterday, so do check on that. Hugh Collingridge hasn't had many runners yet this season, and In A Fortnight is the only debutant. Market support should be noted, but he doesn't have a stand-out pedigree. Ramble On Love completes the line up and steps up in trip from her debut here earlier in the month. She was slowly away then, so the extra furlong may give her a chance. However our preference is for Pentominium.
