Verdict

John Gosden trained last year’s winner and TAQAREER looks to have leading claims this time. He returned a losing favourite at Chelmsford on his debut but still shaped well enough in second to suggest he can win at this level. Taameen steps up from 7f having finished a moderate third at Haydock and has switched yards since and so has Pholas, who improved upped to today’s distance at Windsor. The 425,000gns yearling Desert Camp makes a belated debut and is preferred to French Minstrel and Rovera of the newcomers.
