        Verdict

        None of these inspire confidence but FLAMES OF YORK has more scope than most and having slipped down the weights despite making moderate progress in handicaps, he gets a speculative vote. Manzil and Bobba Tee placed before disappointing last time while International Law finished ahead of Trinity Star when sixth over track and trip a fortnight ago. Esspeegee won at Thirsk in June and Ravenscar finished runner-up when last seen over course and distance back in March.
