In depth

Verdict

SEEKING THE BUCK, Shavansky and Cosmea catch the eye here, with Seeking The Buck taken to maintain his winning form. After picking up a couple of novice hurdle events during the winter, Cosmea looks an improved performer this term on the Flat and he dead heated with Shavansky last time. He is weighted to dead heat with that rival here, and though respected, is taken on. Shavansky was returning after a seven month absence on that occasion, and normal improvement can see him go well. He is a little inconsistent, but wins his share, and has scored over this course and distance. Seeking the Buck is chasing a hat trick after winning top handicaps at Newmarket and Epsom and is only 2lbs higher than his latest win. That seems lenient, and Seeking the Buck is progressive and looks the answer here.
