Luca Cumani has not had many runners at this track over the last five years so it can be considered significant that Idealistic bids to get off the mark here and gets the vote over Wedding Cake and Encompass, who will never be stable stars but are obviously respected for their connections alone. The same has to be said of Magical Quest, who represents the same ownership as the last named but hails from a yard that have returned to form of late. The fact that this son of Rainbow Quest is making his racecourse debut at the age of four would suggest that he has shown something for all concerned to keep him in training and the market surrounding him should be watched with interest. However, there are no such doubts concerning the challenge of Idealistic and, with the trip sure to suit, there will be strong expectations for her to deliver this time around.
