Golden Legacy takes a big step down in class and looks set to land this modest contest from Rasa Sayang and Mary Gray. Richard Fahey's filly ran a blinder to finish just six lengths behind Jewel In The Sand in the Albany stakes at Royal Ascot, with some very decent types behind. The subsequent success of the winner in the Cherry Hinton gives the form an even stronger look and it will take a good one to beat the selection. Rasa Sayang put up an improved display to finish runner up to the smart Wonderful Mind at Beverley last time, with more improvement expected he should give Golden Legacy plenty to think about. The best of the newcomers may be Mark Johnston's Mary Gray, although going by the breeding and cheap purchase price, she is not one of the stable stars. The rest of the field make very little appeal so it does seem to be an easy opportunity for Golden Legacy to open her account.
