Route Barree showed enough over course and distance last month to suggest he should be capable of taking this seller and is given the vote over Strictly Speaking and Private Seal. The selection is well treated on official BHB ratings and, with good recent course form to his name, should be too good for some moderate rivals. Strictly Speaking is one of Paul Cole's lesser lights but, with Mr Dinos having won the Gold Cup on Thursday, it may be that the yard have turned the corner and he may be open to improvement on previous form this term. Private Seal is on a long losing sequence and, although well treated, is difficult to recommend. Of more interest could be the unexposed Sadler's Cove, who has only had one previous start but this is a poor race and Route Barree has more solid claims than most.
