We close proceedings here at Lingfield with a maiden, where few show any appeal but for the winner we side with JESSE JAMES ahead of Princability and Legislate. The selection is ever improving as he showed last time at Newmarket. The colt looks capable of winning an ordinary maiden if persevered with this year, and has the potential to progress into a very useful type. Legislate was beaten favourite last time out, but again improved on his career debut, although he could never land a blow at the first two. The three-year-old Dansili colt is a half-brother to 12 winners including Tenby and Bristol Channel and looks capable if his form continues to improve. It's hard to tell whether or not Princability is progressing, he is probably a bit better than his bare form suggests but hasn't really built upon the promise he showed on his career debut. This should prove to be fairly competitive but none look like beating Jesse James to the post.
