Kipchak has struggled in handicaps since his win at Redcar last month so it is no surprise to see him dropped into a claimer but Alan McCabe's gelding may be booked for a place at best in a race taken to go to IMPRIMIS TAGULA, who gets the vote over Blue Tomato. The David Nicholls-trained gelding ran well in this grade at Redcar earlier this month, has run to a decent level of form in claimers at Wolverhampton and he has to be respected on this slightly faster track. Michael Wigham's Sendreni disappointed at Newcastle last time but may do better back on the Polytrack, while Tony Carroll's Jake The Snake is a consistent performer but may just have a shade too much weight to carry. Willie Muir's Carmenero would have every chance if fit for his first outing since December but a safer option looks to be Imprimis Tagula. Alan Bailey's gelding has run creditably on turf in his last two starts but is better on the Fibresand and Polytrack and he is taken to resume winning ways now returned to this surface.
