NAWAAFF is probably capable of getting his nose back in front here, while Rann Na Cille can give him a bit to think about. The Mick Channon runners are going well and Nawaff was a winner over this trip at Wolverhampton last month. Raised 6lbs he was out of his depth over 6f back there last time, but the drop back to this trip and a 4lb higher mark mark him out as the one to beat. Rann Na Cille has a course and distance win to her name and she has won off higher marks than this in the past. She also goes well when fresh, so a five month break should be no concern and she can get closely involved. Triskaidekaphobia is another who looks nicely handicapped on his old form but has not shown enough of late to get us too interested. Babel has been plummeting in the weights and a market check is advised given her connections, while Sir Loin is on a handy enough mark but prefers Kempton to here. Nawaaff is the one for us.
