        In depth

        Verdict

        This is a decent little contest where cases can be made for most of the field with Resplendent Alpha and Distinctly Game among the strongest but we opt for TRADE CENTRE, who looks well treated on handicap debut. The unexposed four-year-old has looked progressive in two career races so far and beat a decent yard stick from Mark Johnson's yard to win over course and distance last time out. Further improvement is expected and given the assignment of bottom weight for his debut in this sphere he looks good. Resplendent Alpha usually runs his race and took victory over course and distance in February. He's two pounds heavier for that win, which has been enough to stop him claiming victory since. Distinctly Game has a good strike rate here especially over this trip and needs to enter calculations based on some recent solid efforts under today's mark. Top weight Dvinsky shouldn't be discounted either having been lowered to a mark just one pound heavier than he took to victory over this trip at Great Leighs in January but he may be looking at place money with Trade Centre viewed as best this time.
