It is not too often that Brian Meehan has two runners in a claimer so that has to be noted but for the winner, we think CRAICATTACK may be able to see off Penrod Ballantyne and Lockantanks. Supporters will need to overlook a moderate run last time out at Kempton but he had no mistake in a claimer on his previous visit and were he back to that form, he would be a tough one to pass. Penrod Ballantyne made a no show over six furlongs. The booking of Eddie Ahern could be a big plus given the rider's strikerate for the stable. Lockantanks drops into the grade for the first time. As a son of Compton Place, the step up to seven furlongs would not be too much of an issue. Libertino has had quite a few chances thus far while Flow Chart would have made far more appeal were this race to be staged on Southwell's fibresand surface. Many of these horses have ugly bits of form interwoven with others that make them serious players. For this reason, Craicattack has to be the call though not without severe caution at the likely odds.
