There may be a little more to come from Union Jack Jackson whilst he is in such good heart and James Given's charge is selected in preference to Nanton and River Biscuit. The last mentioned won an ordinary claimer last month; where Richard Hughes gave him little time to think about the task in hand. Similar forcing tactics will no doubt see him in the shake up and he holds claims of reaching the frame today. Nanton is one that looks to be going the right way and can pick up a further prize-money as he gains in experience. However, he does look to face a stiff test for his handicap debut and giving weight away for the first time could be his undoing. Therefore, Union Jack Jackson is the safest option in this company. Given has his string in very good order at present and, with the booking of Paul Hanagan very much a positive move, the Lincolnshire-based handler can continue his good run of form with Union Jack Jackson today.
