In depth

Verdict

Topiary Ted could be of interest on his return but may just need the run and so preference is for Kindlelight Blue ahead of Masterofthecourt and Waterline Twenty. The selection comes here on the back of a fair fourth at Wolverhampton when tried over a mile and a half and will be suited by the drop in trip today back to ten furlongs. Nick Littmoden hasn't been flooding the course with winners of late with his all-weather team but adaptable in regard to tactics, Kindlelight Blue should run well. Topiary Ted has a great strike-rate on the all-weather and if fit enough must be a player, whilst Waterline Twenty is consistent but his wins have come over shorter trips. Bay Hawk represents a stable in terrific form and the betting will help regarding his chances as he returns from a break, whilst Burgandy knows how to win and still retains plenty of zest despite his advancing years. An open race, and slight preference is for Kindlelight Blue.
