Molem has to be respected off the same mark as when second in his last two starts but the Lady Herries-trained gelding is proving to be expensive to follow and preference is for The Fonze, who gets the vote ahead of Santando. The last mentioned has shown improved form of late but would ideally want further to show his best form. Amanda Perrett has her string in good form at present so Danger Zone has to be respected but needs to step up on recent form, while Burgundy is on a long losing sequence and still receives little help from the handicapper. Christmas Truce would have claims on his best form but is inconsistent, while Mixing has given little cause for optimism in recent outings. The vote then goes to The Fonze, who did little wrong at Chepstow last time and has to have solid claims if handling this surface.
