This contest provides a difficult puzzle to solve and RESPLENDENT ACE is selected to land it ahead of Ommadawn, who despite her relatively lightly raced profile is beginning to become frustrating and Potentiale, who was given too much to do last time. Resplendent Ace, 4lb higher than her last winning mark of three starts back, raced over ten furlongs last time at Great Leighs and was doing all his best work in the closing stages. The additional two furlongs here will suit. Ommadawn has been lightly raced this season but on each of her three outings looks rather paceless inthe closing stages of her races. Ryan Moore is an interesting jockey booking though while Potentiale has gone up the ratings without getting his head in front. Twelve furlongs should suit him though. Velosa returns after 307 days off the track and faces a stiff task against race fit rivals while Bell Island has smart form in his native France but has yet to reproduce it in the UK. Resplendent Ace is given the vote to come home in front.
