This is a terrific contest and Cesare is selected to get the better of Satchem and Stronghold. A lightly raced individual, Satchem is a son of Inchinor, and after a Group Three success at Kempton as a juvenile, he has been a little disappointing since, but bounced back to form with a game win from Stronghold at Goodwood recently. He should come on for the run and will take some beating. Stronghold is three pounds better off for that short head beating and has run well since, going down by a neck to Cesare in the Royal Hunt Cup. Mine, well beaten there, has advertised the form with his habitual Bunbury Cup success, and Stronghold must go close. Strictly at the weights, Cesare has something to find to repeat that win over Stronghold, but he has a good wins to runs ratio, having won half of his eight starts. He is highly regarded by his trainer and has a previous success here last year to his credit. Cesare can underline his ability by claiming this lucrative prize.
