There were excuses for Aswan's poor runs last season and now he has fallen to a reasonable mark this former Sir Michael Stoute inmate could spring a surprise at reasonable odds. Well drawn he should be able to get a handy lead and hopefully hold off the more fancied rivals who are not so well positioned. Waterside has fallen from grace after having finished 2nd in a Group 3 race as a two-year-old. he could be one who will be suited by this step up in trip and is consistent enough to be given a chance at this level. Ross The Boss should much improved form over this course and distance last time out and if reproducing that effort he should go close especially as he comes out of a similar draw to last time. Telori has shown in the past he handles this surface and though not ideally drawn put in an excellent effort at Catterick last time out. Plutocrat is another danger who is only a couple of pounds behind Ross The Boss on their run a fortnight ago. Better drawn than his rival today he should put up a good account of himself. Magic Trick returns from a break and has the form in the book to run well here for his in-form trainer though his last couple of runs have not seen him put his best foot forward.
