A surprisingly competitive division in which EQUIPE DE NUIT is chanced at the likely odds though Jeremiah and Monashee Rock make a fair degree of appeal. The Leicester winner failed to sparkle on a follow up but it is worth noting that he ran with credit in a number of decent maidens last year when trained by Paul D'Arcy, and with a decent claimer booked, we are hopeful of a good run. Jeremiah is tried in a visor for the first time. He has performed creditably in the past at this level though was well held at Kempton last time up. Monashee Rock represents a yard having winners so a market move is awaited. The Mumbo won here previously at odds of 40/1 so is unlikely to be at such juicy odds this time around. Whitbarrow would have walked this a few seasons ago though this is his first run back from a sizeable absence. Royal Challenge did not do a lot wrong in a similar event on the turf at Brighton. Brooksby appears greatly flattered by his BHA rating at present. Equipe De Nuit is not without negatives but we are prepared to chance him in a race that requires little winning.
