Verdict

A race that has cut up badly at the declaration stage and FAREEJ is taken to get the better of Business As Usual and Magician's Cape. The presence of Frankie Dettori aboard the Godolphin runner is enough to convince us that he is held in some regard by connections. An impressive winner over a mile at Newmarket on debut; the Derby entrant has taken this option rather than a trickier task back at headquarters later in the week. Business As Usual won his maiden at Yarmouth. Regrettably, the second let the form down when turned over at Folkestone next time out. It is not too often that Sir Michael Stoute unleashes a first time out juvenile winner hence why Magician's Cape was sent off at 9/1 on the turf track at this venue. His breeding is an interesting hybrid of stamina and speed though he may end up being better over further. Thrust Control was just 14000 guineas at the sales. He made an early return on investment at Warwick and may appreciate the fact that front runners are getting more of a look in at Lingfield these days. A decent quartet and Fareej secures the nomination.
