Strabinios King, Mandarin Spirit and Choreography make up our shortlist here, with preference given to Mandarin Spirit. It's more than a year since the 8 year old gelding last visited the winner's enclosure, when previously racing off a much higher mark, but the handicapper's been kind here. Jim Best's Choreography has an extra 6 pounds to carry following last month's win at Brighton but has still to be considered, given the opposition he beat that day. But as well as being top weight, he also has to overcome being drawn in stall 14. Strabinios King paid dividends for favourite backers here in his last race, is well drawn and Michael Wigham often does well here. But Mandarin Spirit's been fairly treated, and gets the nod.
