Buy On The Red can come out on top in a wide-open affair, with Resplendent Nova, Perfect Story, Ninth House and Deira just a few more with prospects. There are no less than seven course-and-distance winners declared here, and finding the solution will not be easy, but Buy On The Red appears to be coming to hand again judged on his last two efforts and so gets a tentative vote. William Muir's five-year-old has not won since scoring here in class 3 company two years ago, but caught the eye when beaten just a length by Grand Show when third over six furlongs here at the start of October, and is worth a try back over today's trip. Resplendent Nova ran very well when runner-up to Trimlestown at Newmarket last time and goes well here, while Perfect Story has had just four outings this year, and will improve for his Newmarket return at the end of September. Ninth House landed a Wolverhampton claimer in easy fashion and should go well despite having to shoulder topweight, and of the rest, it would be folly to rule out Deira and Irish raider Dart Along who sneaks in off 8st 3lb. An absolutely wide-open handicap can go to Buy On The Red.
