Grizedale, Charlie Bear and Mina A Salem all hold formbook chances and we shall stick with Grizedale. Jon Akehurst's seven-year-old has been knocking at the door for quite some time and while the bangs have been getting noticeably louder, this does look a much easier assignment than a number he has encountered in the past. Charlie Bear is nothing out of the ordinary but he scored on a return to the turf and after a number of solid runs on the all-weather, it would no surprise to see him go well. Taranaki is not the force of old but should run his usual game race. Mina A Salem has been campaigned on the turf without success but on some of her all-weather form, she deserves consideration if she is allowed to bowl along upfront. Le Chiffre looked to receive a confidence boost when scoring in claiming class but has struggled since taking a recent handicap and Linda's Colin looks to be the better in of the pair at the moment. Saxon Lil has not won for over a year but has placed three times in five recent starts and could run into the frame again. A trappy finale in which Grizedale is recommended at minimum stakes.
