Smokey Oakey can open his account at the expense of Lakshmi, with Ambrosiana and Buzbury Rings best of the remainder. Smokey Oakey really picked up well in the closing stages when third on his Windsor debut just over a fortnight ago, and with normal improvement should be more than capable of beating today's opponents, although Lakshmi looks a threat. Mick Channon's charge stayed on well when fourth at Newbury, and although well held by the winner, will know more now. Ambrosiana was ridden to get sixth place on his Newbury introduction and does not make as much appeal, although he too will have learnt from the experience, while Buzbury Rings can only improve from his mid-division Salisbury debut. However, Tom Queally rode him that day, and is now on board Smokey Oakey who will be a popular choice.
