In depth

Verdict

There is sure to be plenty of pace on here, which will suit Joy And Pain, who is selected over Taranaki and the hapless Greenwood, who would meet trouble in a walkover the way his luck has been going these days. Another to consider is Gone 'N' Dunnett, who is consistent at this level but can be hard to catch right. He is much better on the all weather than turf though and he holds sound each-way claims if Colin Haddon can get him into contention early. Taranaki is weighted to get the better of his old rival Greenwood and poses the selection the biggest danger. He too has met with no luck whatsoever this term but has dropped to a very handy mark as a result. He can pick up a race somewhere along the line. Nevertheless, Joy And Pain should have the measure of his elder rivals on these terms and looks well worth another try over this trip after just getting nailed by a much improved rival over seven furlongs here last week.
