In depth

Verdict

A small but competitive field goes to post for the first on the card and many can be given chances on their best form but the principals look to be Silken Pearls, Ghadames and Tregastel and the tentative vote is given to Silken Pearls. The selection won well last time out when defeating Toulon Rouge and although she has a penalty for that win she again has conditions to suit and is taken to win again. Ghadames rates the main danger as he remains on a fair mark despite winning last time out when defeating Flake but he is prone to bursting blood vessels and he is not sure to run two races alike so he is passed over on this occasion. Tregastel also won well last time out when beating Spring Lover but this looks more competitive and he will need to improve to score. Of the remainder Double You Cubed also won well last time out but that was over a longer distance and the drop in trip is not sure to suit so for the winner we return to Silken Pearls.
