Nick Littmoden has hit a good run of form lately and can pick up again with Zaffeu, who just edges out Glendale and Imperial Royale , who both arrive here with claims but were a little disappointing last time. Sadler's Cove is being kept busy and looks worth another try at this trip after a couple of near misses lately. However, he, like many of the rest, lacks a turn of foot and could be vulnerable to a strong finisher. Glendale had the measure of Margery Daw when they met here at the start of this month and is another that is unexposed at the trip. However, he is not the most resilient in a finish and others make more appeal. Imperial Royale is a prime candidate to set the early running and should again run his race. However, it was a weak contest that he won on his penultimate start and he will do well to make all in this company. Especially if Paul Cosgrave can get Zaffeu into a good rhythm as things unfold. The son of Zafonic has no doubts about his stamina and, with the track not expected to pose any problems in this company, he looks the most reliable of this modest bunch.
