Sovereignty can prevail over Fast Heart, Top Mark, Donna Giovanna and Prince Dayjur. Sovereignty has no problems handling this sort of surface, having won twice on Wolverhampton's Polytrack this year, and in addition, Dean Ivory's charge is versatile regarding the trip, having scored over both five and seven furlongs. Fourth in a class 6 handicap here just five days ago when kept wide throughout, he just needs to be manoeuvred inside and maybe kept up with the pace a bit more to figure strongly. This is a drop in grade for Fast Heart who was rated in the 100's last summer and who has been slipping down the weights. He has yet to score in five outings for Dandy Nicholls but should have the class to take a hand as well. Top Mark was successful over the course-and-distance last year and more recently was only beaten a length at Kempton. He too will find this company less exacting and is another to consider. Donna Giovanna won a Wolverhampton maiden under Eddie Ahern in January and will be all the better for her recent return there, while Prince Dayjur showed improved form when second in similar company to this 11 days ago. They appear to be the main contenders, with preference for Sovereignty.
