Sir Michael Stoute makes a rare visit to Lingfield and should take this prize with Flag Lieutenant, Tragedian and One To Win look the obvious dangers. Stoute has had one winner from one runner this turf season, Stream Of Gold landing the Lincoln, and he can keep his 100 percent record with this son of Machiavellian. His sole outing last season came at Leicester where he finished a close up second behind Eqdaam, with today's rival Tragedian right behind in third. That race was over seven furlongs and on breeding the selection should be much better suited by this type of trip and he is taken to confirm running with the Gosden horse. One To Win also showed plenty of ability in her only start last season, finishing a very close third behind Icing over the seven furlong trip. As with the selection she will be better suited by this test of stamina. Taxman may do best of the others, but Flag Lieutenant, a Derby entry, should have too much class for these rivals.
