Verdict
Ciccone gets the vote over Chia and Takes Tutu, with Fantasy Crusader to be included in calculations if he turns out. The latter was due to run at Brighton on Wednesday, and his participation will be decided by his performance at the Sussex track. In any case, there are some with stronger claims, notably Ciccone who has finished runner-up on each of her last two starts since having the headgear removed. Beaten a head by Danzare at Yarmouth at the end of last month, she also went down narrowly on the all-weather track here six-days ago, and is overdue a second career success. Chia has been tried over 12-furlongs of late, failing to last home, and so today's trip is a plus factor, while the other main danger to the selection appears to be Take Tutu, whose selling victory here three weeks ago was run at quite a decent pace. They are the main contenders, with Ciccone the pick.
